This is the cover for Sharkpony and the Glitter riders Issue 1 which I finished early in December and submitted to a company. No word back other than that they received the submission. Here's hoping I hear something back by the end of the month!
If not, I'm thinking of shopping it around or maybe doing a kickstarter if there's enough interest. The comic is 22 pgs black and white with tones.
I bet I didn't submit it properly. D: It's so nervewracking sitting and waiting! D: Especially when I've been in a bind a while financially. Sorry I rambled here in these comments, I doubt many people will read them...

I hope you guys enjoy the cover!
Here's the old one:

I have been working on stuff! Just, not a lot that I can post atm!

Look on the bright side: I've submitted Secret Agent Fangirl to several companies, some dating as far back as 2005. I've never heard anything from anyone other than AP, who said they weren't taking submissions at the time.

Just thought you'd like to know the worst-case scenario.

Is glitter riders already a thing? I thought I made it up D: It was almost "glitter bitches" but I decided that wouldn't be too great to put on a cover. :s

I was thinking a long the lines of "Sailor Scouts" but having to do with riding horses XD and wanted it to sound extra girly which lead me to "glitter". Since the characters are jerky guys that are transformed into magical girls it was almost the "Glitter Bitches" and if I am able to make a 2nd issue one of them will probably call themselves that. lol

This looks really good! :) It ALWAYS sucks waiting to hear back from places you submit to (I've been in the same boat many times and I swear a little part of me dies waiting). It's easy to doubt yourself once you send your baby out the door, though, but all you can do is work on the next thing until you get word (or not, but you're awesome, so I'm sure they'll contact you soon).

I hope to be able to see this in full form in some way or another soon!!!! I know you worked super hard on it.

Hang in there, dear. Things will work out eventually. And until then, it may not be much, but I'm cheering for you. :D

Thanks, it means a lot that you're cheering. I really want to show people the comic, so rather than jump the gun and all I decided I'd just post the cover on here. <_< I have ideas for more issues past issue 1 but want to hear back on issue 1 before I start production on the others. D:
I've had a lot of false starts on projects, and lots of potential jobs this last year that turned into "I have x # of pages for you do draw for x $ and will get back to you soon!" that resulted in nothing.
I'm super lucky to be working with some friends on a project, they even helped me get the first Issue of Sharkpony done. I kept taking on other odd jobs to pay bills and pushing SP to the side, they basically paid me to focus on it and finish it in one month. I owe them the world!
Just...gotta sit tight and keep working on things, but not wear my arm down to a nub like I almost did this month...
